Daily Inspiration - Tuesday, April 14, 2020

The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. Romans 8:26

Holy Spirit is a prayer's great Helper. We are incapable of ourselves to translate our real needs into prayer. Holy Spirit does this for us.

Prayer is so important to our spiritual life, but there's good news when we just don't seem to have the words to pray.

First of all, we are told that Jesus Christ is at the right side of God the Father interceding for us. It's always great to have someone put in a good word for us, but think about it: right now, Jesus is doing just that for us - for you. What better reference could we have?

But secondly, Holy Spirit helps us as well. Paul tells us: "And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will" (Romans 8:27).

Is there a problem in your life you have prayed over for years and can no longer come up with words to pray for it? Are you watching a family member make bad decisions, and you don't know what else to say to God on his or her behalf? Do you feel a heaviness of heart and just can't muster the words to express what you're feeling?

Final Thought

It is okay to just sit quietly and depend on the Holy Spirit to do your praying for you, to tell the Father what you can't quite say yourself.

Prayer

Father, You know my heart and thoughts before I can even form the words in my mind. Thank You for listening to the deepest parts of my life, even when I can't get the words out. In Jesus Name, I pray, Amen.

Thank you Pastor I need this, sometimes I pray and I pray sometimes I feel like I am saying the wrong thing. I just need to let the Holy Sprit take over my prayer, he has a plan and only wants things for my good
