“You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.” Psalm 86:15

Imagine what it would be like to see the world through the eye’s of our loving God?

How would you feel about the woman in the wheelchair at the grocery store?

How would you see the neighborhood kid who has just found out his folks are getting a divorce?

How would you view the homeless guy on the park bench?

Seeing individuals the way God does makes you want to put love into action and reach out to help. That's compassion kicking in. Compassion doesn't just feel sorry for people, though. It strives to make a positive difference in their lives. So, ask God to help you see through His eyes - then to let you know how to help.

Even if the only action you can take is to pray, your compassion can make a difference in the world.

Final Thought

We may find it easy to dismiss compassion from our hearts, However God never will.

Prayer

Father, You see the world through eyes of compassion, and You care for everyone as if they were the only person in the entire world. I want to have that kind of compassion in my life. Help me to see people through Your eyes of love and take actions that will make a difference in my world. In Jesus Name, I pray, Amen.
