“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12

The story is told that in Africa, members of one tribe that had converted to Christianity staked out their own space in the thicket surrounding their village for prayer time. Gradually, they wore down paths in the grass that led to their prayer spot. If a believer began to neglect prayer, his fellow Christians would kindly point out, "Brother, the grass grows on your path."

Has the grass grown on your path? Do you struggle with the discipline of regular prayer?

If you're willing to make the effort, you'll reap rewards of spiritual growth. Wherever you are—whether you already have a well-established prayer time or struggle just to whisper a few words a day—begin adding a little extra time in prayer to your day. Doing so will help you see everything else in your day through the lens of God's love and presence.

Final Thought

During the days we are living in our time will be well spent if we use more time on our knees talking with the Father.

Prayer

Father, sometimes I struggle to make time to meet with You. I pray that You would strengthen my resolve to spend quality time with You in prayer. In Jesus Name, I pray and confess I am desperate for more of You. Breathe on me. Amen.
